Joseph T. Warner, 65, of Norwalk, died unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.
He was born Aug. 8, 1943, in Warren, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea and once served honor guard for President John F. Kennedy. He was a truck driver for more than 20 years at Growers Chemical in Milan, and Ron’s Trucking in Norwalk. He also worked for a few years at Fanny Farmer and for Oldsmobile in Michigan. In later years, he enjoyed delivering pizza for Pizza Hut in Norwalk. He was a regular coffee drinker at Berry’s Restaurant in Norwalk, as well as an avid Cleveland Indians and Elvis Presley fan.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Becky (Copenhaver) Warner of Norwalk; son, Timothy Allen Warner of Omaha, Neb.; sister, Roberta Fiedler of Wisconsin; brothers, Louis Tolle of Shelby, Ohio, and Bill Warner of Florida; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Warner and Losha Mae (Tomlin) Warner; and brothers and sisters, Jim, Dorothy, Gail, Betty, Zane and David.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. A private graveside funeral will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
