Patricia Louise Caudle, 83, of Sandusky, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, in St. Francis Health Care Centre in Green Springs, Ohio.
She was born April 3, 1925, in Detroit, daughter of the late Ivan F. and Faye (Wight) Graham. She was a third-generation family member to attend University of Michigan and graduated with a bachelors degree in elementary education in Chicago. After graduation, she traveled by train to California to teach kindergarten. There she met her husband, Howard Caudle, and started her family.
She was artistic and enjoyed arts, crafts, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and was an avid University of Michigan supporter.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Howard Caudle; daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Scott Gardner of Norwalk and Carolyn and Eric Hutson of Ozark, Ark.; son and daughter-in-law, John David and Jane Caudle of Atlanta; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Pearl Lofgren of Kewadin, Mich.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Kyle Gardner in 2008; and her parents.
A reception for family and friends will be from 5 p.m., Friday, until memorial service at 7 p.m. in Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk; the Rev. Adrian N. Doll, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Norwalk, will officiate. Private interment will be in Yale, Mich.
