Philomena ‘Maine’ Caizzo (Diana), 91, of Norwalk and formerly Huron, died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, in Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born April 17, 1917, in Youngstown, Ohio, and moved to Huron in 1992. She graduated in 1936, from East High School, Youngstown.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron. She worked for the Board of Elections in Youngstown for 38 years.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Caizzo of Huron and Nicholas Caizzo of Minnesota; four grandchildren, Joseph, Cody and Carson Caizzo, and Kerry (Doug) Brown; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Casper Diana of Vienna, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Caizzo in 2000; parents, Henry and Mercede Diana (Lacivita); brothers, John, Christy, Albert, Thomas Diana, and an infant brother; and sisters, Dora Ford, and Malina Diana.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday in Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron, until funeral mass at 11 a.m. in St. Peter Church, Huron. Private committal service will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
