Eldred J. Heyman, 85, of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, in The Bellevue Hospital, from a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 4, 1922, in Monroeville, the son of Howard and Laura (Koch) Heyman. Eldred retired as a janitor for Bellevue Senior High School in 1987. He married the former Marcella Frisch on Sept. 2, 1950, at Marywood, Ohio, and she preceded him in death Nov. 26, 1981. Eldred was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Bellevue. He was a bus driver for many years and a 4-H leader.
Survivors include a son, David (Marsha) Heyman of Bellevue; three daughters, Carol (Tom) Fredritz of Tiffin, Mary Heyman of Bellevue and Cindy (Steve) Weilnau of Berlin Heights; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathleen (Alvin) Shelley of Bellevue.
He was preceded in death by his wife, an infant son and his parents.
Calling hours will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, with the Rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue, with the Rev. Jonathan Wight, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
