Irene M. (Minier) Dicker, 85, of Vickery, died at her home Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008.
She was born March 21, 1923, in Oak Harbor, daughter of the late John and Anna (Thorbahn) Minier and moved to Vickery in 1928. She went to Garvin School in Riley Township and worked at the trout club, the Ohio Turnpike and Red's Truck Stop; but was mostly a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughters, Anna Marie Chambers of Clyde and her children, Paula Chambers, Mark Chambers and Dyanna (Mike) Dearth; Carol Ann (Jim) Linder of Fremont and her children, Susan (Harvey) Davis, Michael (Stephanie) Linder and Steven (Karrie) Linder; Linda Dicker-Heberling of Vickery and her children, Eric Ludrowski and Kyle Herberling; and Janet Dicker-Grotz of Oak Harbor and her children, Cody Grotz, Cory Grotz and Cole Grotz. Also surviving are grandchildren, Stacy (Jeremy) Ludrowsky, Erin Ludrowsky-Davis, Megan Ludrowsky and Tyler Ludrowsky; and her great-grandchildren, Bobby, Brandon, Alexis, Emily, Anthony, Jacob, Kylee, Tanna and Paige.
Irene was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Curless whom she married in 1941 and who died in 1955; her second husband, Edward Dicker Jr., whom she married June 16, 1959, and who died Nov. 16, 1989; two sons, Robert Curless and Dale Curless; grandson, Bobby Linder; and siblings, Charles "Chas" Minier, LeRoy "Chub" Minie, John "Juny" Minier, Cleo Minier and Wilson "Barney" Minier.
Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. today at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. David Klappenbach will officiate. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
