James (Jim) Charles Voltz, 62, died surrounded by his family, Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, after a long and courageous 15-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jim and Cook moved to Sun City, Texas, five years ago and he loved every minute of it and all the great people he met. Jim was a member of the following clubs: The Wood Shop, Aviation, Zoomers Men's, Radio Control Sail Boat, and The Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cook; his wonderful children, Jim (Amy) Voltz, Ann Marie (Mitch) Filiere, Scott (Maria) Morrison and Mike (Christi) Morrison; much loved and adored grandchildren, Austin and Makayla Filiere, Alexander Voltz, Taylor Morrison and Trace Morrison; and brother, Tom and sister-in-law Beth.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, William and Geraldine Voltz; and sister, Sally Roesch.

The family wishes to thank the many people who prayed and visited Jim and helped care for him and the family. Tom and Beth were especially helpful in Jim's final days.
The family is also grateful to Dr. Glenn Robinson, and Dr. Laura Bunch with her staff at Southwest Regional Cancer Center, for giving us an extended time with Jim. The Austin Hospice, especially nurse Bernie, has been a God send for all of us.
