Robert P. Culley, 88, of Norwalk, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, in Erie County Care Center.
He was born Oct. 1, 1919, in Norwalk, son of the late Frank W. and Jessie (O' Brien) Culley. He was a 1938 graduate of St. Paul High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1941-1945; he drove trucks in the Asiatic Pacific Theater towing guns and ammunition for 38 months.
He was a union carpenter most of his life, last working at Box Board Packaging as a die maker for 15 years. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting and golfing.
He is survived by his nephews, James, Michael, Thomas, Gary and David; and a niece, Beverly.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Kruger; and brothers, James, George and Harry Culley.
Friends may call from 11 a.m., Friday, until service at 1 p.m. in Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. Burial with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
