Michelle Lee Butler-Keegan, 36, Sandusky, died Wednesday evening, Aug. 27, 2008, in University of Toledo Medical Center, following a brief illness.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio, June 5, 1972. She was a 1990 graduate of Sandusky High School. She graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and received her Bachelor of Science and master's degree in education from Ashland University. She was a seventh grade reading and science teacher in the Sandusky School System. She was the junior high school volleyball and basketball coach.
Michelle was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball, softball and golf. She loved being out on the water and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Kelsey Keegan and Trey Keegan; parents, William "Bob" and Lana (Wallace) Butler of Sandusky; identical-twin sister, Dana (Brooke) Weatherspoon of Sandusky; brother, Bob (Sarah) Butler of Milan; paternal grandmother, Geraldine Butler of Sandusky; nieces and nephews, Ty and Torre Weatherspoon, Lindsay, Mackenzie, Jacque and Madison Butler; and aunts, uncles and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Pauline and Gilbert Wallace.
Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday in Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Friends may also call from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until services at 10:30 a.m.; Pastor John Mawhirter will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
