Gregory A. Shell, 51, of Norwalk, died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born Aug. 28, 1956, in Newark, Ohio. He received his bachelors degree from Kenyon College and law degree from Capital Law School. He served as a defense attorney in Norwalk for most of his career. He was a world traveler, enjoyed cigars, collected various automobiles and art, and enjoyed motorcycles and photography.
He is survived by his father, Paul E. Shell of Tennessee; sons, Peter (Deanna) Shell of Fort Lewis, Wash., and Jonas Shell of Steubenville, Ohio; grandchildren, Matthew, Madison, Marcus and Andrew; sister, Linda (Steve) Harrington and her daughter, Emily, of Newark, Rick (Ralene) Shell of Steubenville and R. Clayton Shell of Newark; niece, Valerie Shell of Steubenville and other nieces and nephews; and all of his special friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel (Hughes) Shell in 2006.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk where a funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday. Private interment will be in Newark.
