Pauline Ruth Rohrbacher, 92, of Castalia, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, in Providence Care Center, Sandusky.
Born Jan. 26, 1916, in Castalia, she was the daughter of Charles and Magdaline Gysan.
She graduated from Margaretta High School in 1933.
She was a person of great faith and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sandusky.
She was a loving mother to her two sons, Richard of Cincinnati and Ronald (Gina) of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and daughter, Peg (Jerry) Wagenknecht of Batavia, Ill.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren who loved her dearly; nieces and nephews, Carol Towl of Lansing, Mich., Charles (Ann) Downing of Onsted, Mich., Butch (Karen) Hoffman of Sandusky, Joan (Hoffman) Barr of California and the Rev. James (May Belle) Bloker of Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer N. Rohrbacher in 2002; parents; and three sisters, Leona Downing, Edythe Bloker and Helen Hoffman.
Calling hours are 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Ransom Funeral Home, Castalia.
Additional visitation is from noon, Monday, until funeral service at 1 p.m. in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
