Patsy "Pat" Jean (Powell) Clark, 78, of Delaware, Ohio, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, in HomeReach Hospice Kobacker House at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

An active member of the Delaware Senior Center, she played chimes with the Del Chimers and enjoyed taking senior center trips and excursions. As a proficient seamstress, she spent time at home sewing quilt tops for baby quilts that were donated by the center. She loved dancing with her husband and enjoyed Lawrence Welk champagne music. She also enjoyed corresponding with her e-mail friends and acquaintances on the "Welk Notes" Web site.

A resident of Austin Manor on Ohio Wesleyan University campus, she enjoyed the friendships and camaraderie with other residents. She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Delaware. As a former resident of Tiffin, Ohio, she was a hospice volunteer where she was involved with craft show fundraising.

She was born Aug. 27, 1929, in Sandusky, Ohio, daughter of the late Granville and Ola Howey Powell. She was also predeceased by her husband, John J. Clark Jr. in 2003; a grandson, Joseph Clark; and two sisters, Janet Wright and Peggy Hofelich.

She is survived by four daughters, Sandra (Joe) Ketchaver of Westlake, Ohio, Jo Ellen (Paul) Schadek of Mansfield, Ohio, Jennifer Clark of Columbus and Carol (Bill) Daniel of Worthington, Ohio; a son, John J. (Audrey) Clark III of Westerville, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Nathan (Kathryn) DeGioia, Carolyn (David) Ballou, Laura (Travis) Wise, Steven Groves, Chad Groves, Matthew (Kristy) Daniel, Kyle Daniel and Alex Daniel, Elizabeth Clark, John J. Clark, IV and Jacquelyn Clark; 10 great-grandchildren, Sylvie Ballou, Josette Ballou, Sophia DeGioia, Alexander DeGioia, Sam Groves, Cody Schippel, Madison Daniel and Ethan Clark, Ryan Clark and Payton Clark; five nephews, Tom Clark, Mark Clark, Lou Young, Doug Young, Mike Wright; nieces, Ruth Ann Rab, Linda Thomas, Ellen Miller, Sue DeHart and Nancy Ahnert; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 23 at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 28 East William St., Delaware, with the Rev. Bruce Quatman officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Church building fund.
