Robert G. Ohlemacher, 80, Sandusky, died Saturday, August 2, 2008, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Sandusky on May 21, 1928. He was owner and operator of the former Buckeye Body Shop, Sandusky, for 41 years. Robert was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Sandusky, Thunderbird Hills Senior Golf League, a long time bowler and sponsor in the Paramount Bowling League. He also had two holes-in-one at Mills Creek Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn (Barbour) Ohlemacher, to whom he May 12, 1951; daughter, Paula Jean (C. Robert) Penzien of Sebring, Fla.; son, Gary Robert (Kim) Ohlemacher of Rosemount, Minn.; grandchildren, Brian Robert Bradley and Elizabeth Bradley; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Nicholas and Evelyn; brothers, Donald Ohlemacher and Paul (Rita) Ohlemacher, both of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Elsie (Roberts) Ohlemacher, and brothers, the Rev. Richard Ohlemacher and Marvin Ohlemacher.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, and from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until funeral services at 10:30 a.m. in Calvary Baptist Church, 1810 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. His son, Gary Ohlemacher and the Rev. David Hixson will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
