RAYMOND FRANK WILSON

Raymond Frank Wilson Sr., 82, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2008, in Hospice of N.W. Ohio in Perrysburg.
Mr. Wilson was born Feb. 24, 1926, in McKees Rocks, Pa., to Aaron W. and Katherine K. Wilson. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy as a gunner's mate aboard the U.S.S. Hazelwood. Mr. Wilson retired from General Motors in Sandusky, where he was a millwright.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association and United Auto Workers. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Alberta L. Wilson; children, Ms. Karen Wilson Sager of Lithia, Fla., Mrs. Lynn Casperson (Terry), of Urbana, Ohio, and William A. Wilson (Anna) of Northwood; beloved grandfather to eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas E. (Gerry) Wilson, LaRue, Ohio, Joseph J. (Charlene) Wilson, Pittsburgh, Pa.; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Herman, Sun City, Ariz., and Mrs. Carole (Ed) Sanctis, Seven Fields, Pa.
Raymond was preceded in death by his son, Raymond F. Wilson Jr.; parents; and brother, William A. Wilson.
Private viewing and Mass will be observed at Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral; the Rev. Charles Singler as Celebrant. Burial service will follow at St. Mark's Cemetery in McKees Rocks,.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral. Envelopes will be available at the church.
