James C. Geisman, 87, of Marblehead, died Monday, July 21, 2008, in Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.
He was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Marblehead, the son of Richard W. and Charlotte (Carroll) Geisman. Jimmy was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a pipefitter at Delphi retiring in 1986. He owned and operated Geisman Plumbing and Heating in Sandusky and Marblehead. Jimmy was a member of VFW Post 7572 and American Legion Post 555, both in Marblehead. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus of Port Clinton.
Surviving are his son, J.C. (Carolyne) Geisman of Sandusky; daughter, Jo Ellen (Larry) Acocks of Defiance, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Kate Geisman, Kristen (Patrick) Zuchengo and Patrick (Sara) Acocks.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Joan, Feb. 26, 2007; parents; and brothers, Thomas and Richard.
Visitation will be conducted 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Neidecker, LeVeck and Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Marblehead, with prayer services at 4 p.m. and VFW Services at 7 p.m. Prayers will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
