JoAnn Myers, 79 of Norwalk, died early Friday morning, July 18, 2008, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.
She was born July 25, 1928, in Marion, Ohio, daughter of the late Ray H. and Mary (Marshman) Balderson. She was a lifelong area resident. She attended St. Peter Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, crafts and cross stitch. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael A. and Julie Myers of Huron, Craig R. and Cheryl Myers of Norwalk and Jeffrey L. Myers of New London; daughters and son-in-law, Nancy L. and Dennis Claxton of Sandusky and Lori A. Myers and John Reed of Norwalk; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Myers, in 1983; and brothers, Alan and Johnny Balderson.
Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk, where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday; the Rev. Clair Brewer of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
