Florence E. German, 89, of Castalia, died Saturday morning, July 19, 2008, in Lutheran Memorial Home, Sandusky.
She was born May 11, 1919, in Bellevue, and was a 1937 graduate of Margaretta High School. She retired from Lake Castings where she was an office clerk. She enjoyed her crafts and her family. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Castalia, and the women of the church.
Florence is survived by her daughter, Kay Loroff of Castalia; son, William “Gini” German of Castalia; two grandchildren, Richard (Angie) Osburn and Wendy (Tracy) Whittaker; and three great-grandchildren, Melanie Whittaker, Tori Crum, and Ava Osburn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton German, in 1990; her parents, William and Eurie (Hess) Opper; brother, Howard Opper; and son-in-law, David Loroff.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until services at 10:30 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington St., Castalia; the Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
