Willis D. Norman, 94, of Ohio 4, Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008, in Bellevue Hospital.
He was born April 2, 1914, in Monroeville, the son of the late Benjamin and Dora (Herborn) Norman. Willis was employed by the former Ohio Cultivator Co. and retired in 1982 from Central Soya in Bellevue. He was a 1933 graduate of Bellevue High School and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed yard work, gardening and especially caring for roses.
Survivors include his son, Gary (Loni) Norman of Fremont; daughters, Sandra Warden and Pat Cook of Bellevue and Sharon (Tom) Holmer of Attica; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Jeannette (Seel) Norman, whom he married Nov. 28, 1938, in Bellevue; his parents; his brother, Lester Norman; and sister, Thelma McDowell, preceded him in death.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Wally Seibel officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.
