Robert Michael Yontz, 40, of Sandusky, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, July 15, 2008, at his residence.
He was born in Sandusky, Sept. 10, 1967. He attended Sandusky High School. He was employed by Cintas and Oscar Mayer.
Robert was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Cleveland Indians. One of his favorite pastimes was remodeling his home.
He is survived by his mother, Donna J. (Wilhelm) Yontz, Sandusky; two sisters, Rhonda (Richard) Leaser, Archbold, Ohio, and Rebecca Lewis, Sandusky; two brothers, Ronald (Rhonda) Yontz Jr., Sandusky, and Richard (Tracy) Yontz, Castalia; nieces and nephews, Devon and Drew Yontz, Rick and Corey Yontz, Lamar Brown III, Brittany, Danielle, and Kayla Leaser, and Jaime and Samantha Lewis; and his great-nephew, Braylon Sandridge.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald E. Yontz Sr., July 11, 1996; brother, Rodney M. Yontz, Feb. 3, 2007; brother-in-law, Jimmy D. Lewis; and great-nephew, LaRone M. Knight Jr., in infancy.
Private family services will be at Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
