Mary L. Walker, 74, Sandusky, passed away quietly, surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, July 13, 2008, in Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was the beloved mother of sons, David (Ann) Waddington, Michael (Margie) Waddington, Donald (Sherrie) Waddington, Charles (Tammy) Waddington, and daughter, Laura (Badredine) Idrissi-Mojib; the best grandma in the world to Michelle Bahnsen, Melissa, Donny, Elizabeth, Ashley, Zachary and Tyler Waddington, and both Amal and Anwar Idrissi-Mojib; great-grandma to Nathan Neibler, Carissa Bahnsen, Kyleigh and Keagan Webb and Donte Jones; beloved sister to Elta BeVier, Naomi Gearheart, Rose Miller, Barbara Eversole, Paul Garlock and John Garlock.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald O. Waddington and Robert B. Walker; her brothers, Clifford, Roy, Richard, Abraham and James Garlock; her sister, Phyllis Eversole; her father, the Rev. Abraham L. Garlock; her mother, Leota (Gregg) Garlock; and a granddaughter in infancy, Carrie Faith Waddington.

Our mother was a wonderful homemaker who always made holidays very special. She worked for General Motors after our father died, retiring in 1988. She was an active member of the church — Faith Memorial — which our grandfather founded. Anyone who knew our mother could always go to her for prayer. She was a true Prayer Warrior and a Woman of Faith. She spent a lifetime studying the word and teaching about God’s love. She loved to be outdoors, and also sewing, baking and spending Fridays with her sisters. But most of all, she loved and cherished her time with her children — especially her grandchildren.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Private family services will be Thursday at Faith Memorial Church, Sandusky. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
