Helen M. “Honey” Stauder, 91, of Huron, died Monday, July 9, 2012, in her residence with her family by her side.
She was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Huron, and was a lifelong resident. She worked at Eastern States Mill as a switchboard operator and then worked for Firelands Community Bank and then Society “Key” Bank in Huron, as a bank teller, until retiring. She was a 50 plus year member of the First Presbyterian Church, Huron.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Borda of Huron, Gladys (Paul) Souslin of Berlin Heights, and Susan Adkins of Norwalk; two sons, William (Diane) Stauder of Huron, and Louis Stauder of Huron; 10 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren; two great-great-stepgrandchildren; sister, Julia Poyser of Bellevue; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Stauder; parents, Stephen and Nellie (Karako) Molnar; sisters, Irene Heller, and Bertha Fairbanks; brothers, Steven “Pete” Molnar, Alex “Shine” Molnar, and Louis Molnar; and a grandson, Brian Stauder.
A graveside committal service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at McMillen Cemetery, River Road, Huron, with Rev. David Aber officiating.
