Levi R. Thomas, 93, of Brooksville, Fla., and formerly Milan, died Sunday, July 6, 2008.
He was born Sept. 11, 1914, in Norwalk, son of the late Reginald and Frances (Banister) Thomas. He was an ironworker for more than 30 years, retiring in 1977. He was a former member of Collins United Methodist Church, Zenobia Shrine Temple, Masons and Local 17 Ironworkers union in Cleveland. He loved to hunt.
He is survived by his son, Gary Thomas of Brooksville, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Valoris; second wife, Almetta; third wife, Grace; son, Daniel Thomas; brother, Lyonel Thomas; sisters, Enied Losser, Phyllis Meyers, Doris Luxon, and Shirley Woodward.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main St., Norwalk, where Masonic services will be at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Clarksfield Cemetery. The Rev. Carl H. Fannin, pastor of Collins Methodist Church, will officiate.
