Becky J. Kacsanek, 59, of Baltimore, Mich.., passed away late Friday morning, July 4, 2008, at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 15, 1948, in Bellevue, and was a 1966 graduate of Margaretta High School. She worked as a medical billing supervisor for 24 years at McKesson, in Clinton Twp., Mich. She was devoted to her family and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Andrew J. Kacsanek III of New Baltimore; her children, Andrea J. (John) Clay of Birmingham, Ala., and Michelle M. (Matthew) Lemerond of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.; five grandchildren, Jacob, Justin, Rachel, Samuel and William; parents, Robert (Barbara) Niehm of Wilcox, Ariz., and Beatrice "Bea" (Paul) Siegel of Sandusky; brother, Robert C. "Rocky" Niehm Jr. of Sandusky; and sister, Judy A. (Harold) Schneider of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott A. Niehm, 1978.
At her request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. James E. Pfeiffer will officiate. Interment will be later in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
