Shirley J. Dress, 61, Sandusky, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at her residence.
She was born in Port Clinton, Jan 13, 1947. She was office manager and sales representative for the Market Place Newspaper and Auction Hostess for TV 21. Shirley was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She volunteered as a class grandma at Monroe School, Sandusky, for many years and received the Golden Rule Award in 2000, one of her most cherished achievements.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Terry Dress Sr., whom she married June 16, 1973; children, Richard (Alison) Weidman, Terry Dress Jr. and Amanda Dress, all of Sandusky, Robert Dress, Louisville, Ky., and Raymond Langdon, Cleveland; seven grandchildren; and twin sister, Sharon (Sonny) Frost and sister, Jane (Gary) Thompson, both of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen (Rakosky) French; and sister, Jean Grindstaff.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and will be announced at a later date.
