Leslie R. "Red" Jordan, 59, Norwalk, died Monday, June 30, 2008, in University of Toledo Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was born in Coeburn, Va., Feb. 7, 1949. He was employed as a carpenter for A.J. Bentley and Sons, Toledo, Ohio, and was a member of Carpenters Union 480.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene (Chase); daughter, Kay Lynn (Richard) Airton of Plymouth, Mich.; son, Jeff Jordan of Mississippi; stepsons, Dan (Kristi) Minor of Norwalk, Randy (Jacqueline "Sue") Minor of Monroeville and David Minor of Marion, Ohio; sisters, Rita (Don) Lippus of Oak Harbor and Brenda (Mark) Martin of Columbus, Ohio; and brothers Ken (Shelly) Jordan of Sandusky and Gary (Sue) Jordan of Attica.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira R. "Bob" and Mae (Adkins) Jordan, and three brothers.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
