Virginia A. Marske, 79, of Sandusky, died Tuesday morning, July 1, 2008, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 27, 1928, in Fremont, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia, Daughters of the American Revolution and Margaretta Country Gals.
Virginia is survived by her husband, William, to whom she was married 62 years on July 1; two daughters, Peg (Thom) Carter of South Rockwood, Mich., and Sharon (John) Laudeman of Phelan, Calif.; son, Tom (Valerie) Marske of Toledo; six grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Rebecca Manning, Gregory Church, Zachary Church, Lisa Marske and Laura Marske; three great-grandchildren, Megan and Kylie Brown and Emma Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret (Burkett) Shinew; and sister, Shirley Cronenburger.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 10 a.m., Saturday, until services at 11 a.m. in Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington St., Castalia; the Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate.
Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
