Lucille E. (Halladay) Perla, 97, passed away June 16, 2008, in Lutheran Memorial Home.
She was born Nov. 3, 1910, on the Zorn family farm on Scheid Road, Sandusky.
She attended Sandusky High School, and on Valentines Day, 1935, married Curtis Perla of Berlin, Germany, and after 56 years he preceded her in death in October, 1991.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a member of its choir and Ladies of the Church. She was a homemaker, seamstress and called herself a household engineer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis; an infant son, Freddie; her parents, Fred T. and Lina K. (Zorn) Halladay; brothers, Stewart, Louis, Homer and Leslie; and a sister, Lauretta.
She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Bovard; son, Curtis A. (Deborah) Perla; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
There will be a family memorial service later, with interment at Oakland Cemetery in Sandusky.
