Evelyn Antonelli, 89, of Huron, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 29, 2008, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 11, 1918, in Modesto, Calif., and was a resident of Huron for the past 63 years. She worked for Consolo's Super Market, Huron, Marconi's Restaurant, and the Twine House for many years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron, and enjoyed dancing. She was an avid bowler and was a member of the Women's Bowling Association, Sandusky, and was inducted into the Women's International Bowling Congress Hall of Fame.
Survivors include her longtime companion, Robert McCarley; a daughter, Linda (Phillip) Thoma of Dover, De.; a son, John (Cartie) Antonelli of Barberton, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Jay) Enzor, Jessica (Anthony) Fosco, Dennis (Jacquie) Antonelli, Benjamin (Katie Clark) Antonelli, Ingrid (Tony) Bundshuh, and Tammy (Brian) Chittum; six great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Ida Toste of California.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John B. Antonelli, in 1965; her son, Dennis Antonelli; parents, Francis and Frances (Lorenzo) Toste; a sister, Mary Sears; and two brothers, George and Walter Toste.
Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron. The Rev. Jeffery Sikorski will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
