Mark Edward Schudel, 41, of Berlin Heights, died Friday, April 25, 2008, under the care of Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, following a long illness.
He was born Aug. 23, 1966, in Cleveland, and lived in Vermilion most of his life. He graduated from Vermilion High School where he excelled in sports. He was employed as a design welder and powder coating specialist for over 20 years, working for IPC American Coating Company in Norwalk. He was a collector of lighthouses and enjoyed camping and boating.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Jean (Avery) Schudel of Naples, Fla.; brother, Glenn Schudel of Lorain, Ohio; two nieces; and many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2007, Donald Schudel.
Friends may call 11 a.m., Saturday, until memorial service at 1 p.m. in Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St., Vermilion.
