Richard W. "Dick" Conrad, 75, of Sandusky, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
He was born April 5, 1933, in Hamilton, Ohio, son of the late Ann and Robert Conrad. On Aug. 21, 1956, Dick married Nan Stidham and she survives.
Dick was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Hamilton, and a life member of the Erie County Conservation League.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Nan; sisters-in-law, Amanda Weedman of Sandusky, Madge (Roy) Wohlgemuth and Jo-Ann (William) Howard, both of Krypton, Ky., and Thelma Stidham of Wooton, Ky.; brothers-in-law, Berry (Sharon) Stidham of Sandusky and Johnny (Frances) Stidham of Krypton; nieces, Teresa (Jerry) Wooten, Tammie Rippon and Susan (Dean) Hershiser; and several other nieces and nephews in Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Pete Conrad; brothers-in-law, Farris Stidham and Roger "Pete" Stidham; and great-niece, Erica Lynn Rippon
Friends will be received 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Tony Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
