Robert E. “Bob” Brutsche, 72, of Norwalk, died Monday, June 11, 2012, in his home.
He was born October 16, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio, to Edward S. and Rose (Adesi) Brutsche, and was a lifelong area resident. Bob was a 1958 graduate of St. Paul High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Firelands Post 2743 Veterans of Foreign Wars and Eagles Aerie 711, Norwalk. Bob was a former employee of Wappler Instrument Company (Olympus), Janesville Products, Latham’s Grocery Store, and was a 30 year employee of Ford Motor Company, Sandusky. He enjoyed traveling, jigsaw puzzles, playing the piano and accordion, listening to music, eating Italian food, perch fishing, and especially enjoyed family gatherings.
Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Louetta T. (Kennedy) Brutsche of Norwalk; son, Chris Brutsche of Gahanna, Ohio; brothers, James Brutsche of Norwalk, Thomas Brutsche of Sandusky, Phillip Brutsche of Greenville, Ind., and Edward Brutsche, Jr. of Sandusky; sister-in-law, Sharon Brutsche of Norwalk, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin A. Brutsche in 2010; and brothers, Henry, John, Anthony and Joe Brutsche.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Walker Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 15, in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St., Norwalk. Rev. Frank Kehres will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
