Thelma R. Weilnau, 90, of Bellevue, passed away May 15, 2008, in Bellevue Hospital.
She was born Feb. 15, 1918, in Erie County, the daughter of the late Irvin U. and Pearl B. (Wolenslagel) Hoy. She married Herbert Weilnau Aug. 20, 1945, in Sandusky. Thelma was employed as a bookkeeper for various businesses, include Horn's Crop Service, retiring in 1984.
Thelma was a class of 1936 graduate of York High School and attended Sandusky Business College. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, and enjoyed bowling, sewing, card playing, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by four daughters, Linda Smith of Savannah, Ga.; Roxanne (Kim) Frederick and Ginny (Dave) Sabo, both of Bellevue; and Sally (Ken) Moltz of Norwalk; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Thelma was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Byers.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Monday in Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 428 Kilbourne St. Bellevue. Burial will follow at Fireside Cemetery, Fireside, Ohio.
