Joyce A. Barnard, 61, of Huron, died late Sunday evening, May 11, 2008, in Admiral's Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Huron, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 6, 1946, in Sandusky and was a 1965 graduate of Sandusky High School. Joyce was employed at the former Photo Journal Press in Sandusky for many years. She was a member of First Faith Community Church, Sandusky.
She is survived by one son, Todd Wilson of Sandusky; one daughter, Amy (Dane) Petersen of Huron; three grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob and Chelsea; her father, Richard Heinz of Green Valley, Ariz.; one sister, Carol Beal of Pekin, Ill.; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry R. Barnard in 1996; and her mother, Charlotte Heinz in 2005.
At the request of the deceased, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Faith Community Church, 225 E. Jefferson St., Sandusky, with the Rev. Eric A. Rickel officiating. Inurnment will follow in Scott Cemetery, Huron Township.
