Ugolena "Lee" (Franketti) Miller, 89, passed away Sept. 25, 2007, in Gainsville, Fla., after a long illness.
She was born on Kelleys Island to Hugo and Rose (Bordoni) Franketti. She was a longtime resident of Sandusky, and worked for New Departure-Hyatt. After her retirement in 1977, she went to live with her daughter and son-in-law in St. Paul, Minn. She loved her family and was a devoted "Granny Lee" to her two grandsons.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Linda, and son-in-law, Richard Hendrie, Cedar Key, Fla.; grandsons, Charles E. (Laura) Hendrie, Woodbury, Minn. and Christian J. (Amie) Hendrie, Stillwater, Minn.; great-grandchildren, Hazel (Charles) Hendrie, Brock Hendrie, and Grace Katherine (Christian) Hendri; and sisters Pia Shelley and Prena Sass.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Edward Miller; and her brothers, Peter Franketti and Arthur Filipucci.
A memorial Mass for Lee Miller will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Sandusky. Celebrant will be her great-nephew, the Rev. Mark Herzog. Burial is at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron.
