Joseph C. Robertson, husband of Cheryl Heter Robertson, formerly of Bellevue, died May 1, 2008.
Joe was born Nov. 6, 1947, in Marietta, Ohio, son of the late Dr. Joe and Anna Robertson. He graduated from Johnstown-Monroe High School and Ashland University and was a member of Johnstown United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, the Masonic Lodge and Licking County Republican Central Committee. Joe served on the Ohio Exposition Commission (Ohio State Fair) for 17 years and was president of HRM Capital Company. He served Ohio through his decade tenure at the Ohio Department of Development serving two governors, as director. As director, he was commended for his work on the "save Jeep" project keeping the Jeep factories in Northwestern Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Heter Robertson; brothers, Robert and Thomas; son, Joey (Jennifer); grandchildren, Hillary, Grace, Ava and Joseph Noah; and mother-in-law, Vivian Heter of Bellevue.
