Alice L. Singleton, 89, of 134 West Iroquois Trail, Bay View, went home to be with the Lord early Monday morning, May 5, 2008, in Great Lakes Transitional Care, Sandusky.
She was born Feb. 20, 1919, in Toledo, the daughter of Ferdinand and Irene (Kasten) Frosch. She retired from Sandusky City Schools after years of employment as a teacher's aide. She was a member of The Chapel, and had been a member of the Bay View Moose Club. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and reading.
Her daughters, Karen Strader of Bay View and Diane Edwards of Clyde; son, James (Becky) Singleton of Tiffin, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive her.
Her husband, Charles Singleton; her parents; three sisters, Dorothy Porath, Evelyn Felbinger and Wilma Wisnofske; and a brother, Norman Frosch, preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Thursday until memorial services at 11 a.m. at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky. Pastor Dave Brown will officiate. Groff Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
