Mary J. Fedlam, 91, of Sandusky, passed away late Saturday evening, May 29, 2010, surrounded by her family in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 8, 1918, in Cliffwood, N.J., to Timothy and Pauline (Gebhart) Kearns. Mary loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking. She is a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary A. (Bernie) Cross of Sandusky; son, John P. Fedlam of Sandusky; six grandchildren, Cynthia (Eric) Bankieris of Sandusky, Stephen (Angel) Cross of Douglasville, Ga., Matthew J. (Lori) Cross of Florence Twp., Andrew (Denise) Cross of Delaware, Timothy J. Fedlam of Key West, Fla., and Mark (Beverly) Fedlam of New Jersey; 12 great-grandchildren, Mandy (Brendan) Gardner, Christy, Nick, Allison Bankieris, Lovelle, Hanna, Chloe, Abbie, Ellie, Jason, Aaron Cross and John Fedlam; sister-in-law, Irene Kalamaras of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Fedlam on Sept. 22, 1999; her parents; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where prayers will be recited at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Marty Nassr will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
