Ronald R. Ineson, 70, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008, in Cleveland at University Hospital after courageously fighting leukemia.
He was born June 14, 1937, in Somerville Mass., and graduated from Somerville High School in 1955. He made Huron his home since 1961. For 40 years he worked as an electrician for Ford Motor Company at the Lorain assembly plant until retirement in 1998. Since retiring, he worked for Green Circle Growers. He was an active member and past president of Huron Lions Club and a volunteer at Veggie U in Milan.
As a member of Answering the Call Together (ACT), he traveled to Biloxi, Miss., to help reconstruct homes after Hurricane Katrina. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing and Ohio State Buckeyes sports.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Julia F. (Cummings); three daughters, Michele (Patrick) Hearns of Bay Village, Ohio, Janet Jacobs of Marlboro, N.J., and Jennifer (Jeremiah) Cowin of Chicago; two sons, Michael (Lisa) Ineson of Huron and Steve (Bambi) Ineson of Omaha, Neb.; nine grandchildren, Emily, Jack, Mary, Owen, Gavin, Olivia, Ethan, Ellie, and Samantha; and sister, Helen Meyers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Viola (Curtis) Ineson; and two sisters, Shirley Swanson and Lucille Boone.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron.
