Shirley Ann Carbeno (Hartley), 70, formerly of Saginaw, Mich., died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Dec. 9, 1937, in St. Louis, Mo., and had been a resident of Huron since 2001, coming from Saginaw and Cadillac, Mich. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Huron.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Melvin; daughter, Jean (Matt) Kreidler of Huron; two sons, Steven (Perri) Carbeno of Saginaw, and David Carbeno and his companion Stephen Linebaugh, of Lake Worth, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Chad, Jameson, Matthew, Deryk, Madeline and Jacob; great-granddaughter, Kyleigh; sister, Dixie Lee MacDonald of Sandusky; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Jerry Goodman, Don and Barb Bartlett, Dale and Nancy Bartlett, Lorraine Mendyk, Marlene Gotham, and Dorothy Strickland; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Edward H. and Olivia M. (Jaeckel) Hartlley; and brother-in-law, Gerald Carbeno.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Foster Funeral Home, 410 Main St., Huron. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Monday, in Zion Lutheran Church, 930 S. Main St., Huron; the Rev. Raymond Vance officiating.
