PUNTA GORDA, Fla.
Donald H. Reddaway, 80, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Huron, passed away April 7, 2008.
He was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Ypsilanti, Mich. He served in the U.S. Navy. A 33-year employee of Ford Motor Company, Don transferred from Ypsilanti to the Sandusky Ford Plant in 1956, where he was a shipping and receiving supervisor.
Don was a Boy Scout Troop Leader, church youth leader and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Eagles Club and Tigers Athletic Booster Club in Huron. Don enjoyed bowling, golf and dancing. He was a true sports fan and avid follower of the Huron Tigers.
Don is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Maria; sons, Don (Kathy) Reddaway, Harry (Colleen) Stapleton, Mark Reddaway, Mike Reddaway and John (Karen) Reddaway; daughters, Maria (Steven) Mishkind and Ria (Bob) Grimm; 12 grandchildren, Marlene, Michael, Katie, Joseph, Danny, Emily, Natalie and Stephanie Reddaway, Janice Deuble, Arianna Grimm and Jon and Ian Lester.
Don was preceded in death by his son, Jon Lester; grandson, Thomas Deuble; and daughters-in-law, Allyne and Kitty.
Services will take place in Ohio at a later date.
