Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, Gordon Jones; her second husband, Ben Stevens; her parents, Gustaf and Lois (York) Palmquist; and one sister, Joyce Browne.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Funeral services will be11 a.m. Wednesday in Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington St., Castalia, with the Rev. Kathleen Suggitt officiating. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.

Ruth A. Stevens, 85, of Sandusky and formerly of Castalia, died Sunday morning, April 6, 2008, in Parkvue Healthcare Center, Sandusky.
She was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Olean, N.Y., and was a graduate of Olean High School. She was also a graduate of Steven’s College in Missouri and was employed by Robert’s Jewelers in Sandusky. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Castalia; a former member of Castalia Lions Auxiliary; and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy (Mike) Lodge of Castalia; one son Gordon Jones of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Lori Lodge Rister, Amy Lodge, Jennifer Jones, Julie Lodge Jarrett and Douglas Jones; six great-grandchildren, Jaimee Rister, Eva Dils, Lodge Dils, Ellie Dils, Benjamin Jarrett and
