Virginia (Farrell) Wagner, 87, of Sandusky, died Thursday, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Sandusky, the daughter of Alvin and Lena (Fessler) Farrell. She was a graduate of Sandusky High School and was employed by the American Red Cross for many years. She previously worked for Norwalk Truck Lines.
Virginia was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sandusky. She was also a member of The Humane Society of the United States and the Business Women of the United States of America. She was an avid bowler, participating in many area leagues, and enjoyed frequenting theatrical productions.
Her sister-in-law, Elnora Farrell of Sandusky, and several nieces and nephews survive her.
Her husband, Robert, who died Dec. 26, 1991; her parents; and her brother, James Farrell, who died in 1981, preceded her in death.
Services were Monday in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Sandusky.TheRev.JohnMawhirter officiated. Entombment followed in Oakland Cemetery. Groff Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
