Rose Mary Kingsborough, 79, of Castalia and formerly Vickery, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, in Firelands Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Kingsborough was born in Sandusky, Feb. 15, 1929, daughter of the late Albert and Dora (Velliquette) Mapus.
She attended Townsend School and was a homemaker. She married Kenneth L. Kingsborough Jan. 5, 1946.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Diana (John) Strouse, Castalia, Karen (William) Wiedle, Fremont; sons, Joseph (Christine) Kingsborough and Thomas (Peggy) Kingsborough, both of Castalia; 10 grandchildren, John K. Strouse, Kathleen Renwand, Rebecca Lawson, David Wiedle, Janet Pickard, Melissa Wiedle, Jodi Rucker, Brian Kingsborough, Kevin Kingsborough and Tracy Carrozzino; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Rose Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy Simmons, Oscar Mapus, Leo Mapus and John Mapus.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday; the Rev. Keith Stripe officiating. Burial will be in Ellsworth Cemetery, rural Clyde.
