Dominic W. Kidwell Sr., passed to his heavenly home from the VA Medical Center in Biloxi, Miss., March 12, 2008.
Dominic was born in Huron in 1931, to Walter and Angeline Kidwell. He graduated from Huron High School and spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy as an aviationelectrician, retiring in 1978 as chief petty officer.
He was an electrician for ship rebuilding in St. Augustine and Jacksonville, Fla., a vocational school teacher in Waukegan, Ill, and then worked for American Airlines on its satellite bases. He worked in the shipyards inPascagoula, Miss. until he retired from civil service.
Most of his friends andrelatives remember his beautiful voice and love of music. He followed his father in the love for fishing, any time or any weather.
He is survived by his wife, Susana, Moss Point, Miss.; sons, Dominic (Linda) Kidwell Jr., Mesa, Ariz., Raymond (Jennifer) Kidwell, Jacksonville, David Kidwell and Daniel Kidwell, both of Moss Point; daughters, Ann Medlin, St. Augustine, Loretta (Ralph) Zelig, Orlando, Fla., Carol (Humphrey) Chianumba, Dacula, Ga., and Joan Daniel, El Cajon, Calif; brother, Joseph (Joanne) Kidwell, Fremont; three sisters, Martha (Ted) Kastor, Sandusky, Mariann (Norman) Bostater, Huron, and Pattiann (Andy) Stropko, Tucson, Ariz.;18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in NationalCemetery in Biloxi.
