Lynn A. Gundlach, 66, Castalia, passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones.
He was born July 13, 1941, in Sandusky, and graduated from Sandusky High School. Lynn worked for Gundlach Sheet Metal from 1962 to 1978, and Delphi Automotive from 1978 until his retirement in 2004. Lynn was affiliated with Venice Road Baptist Church, Sandusky, and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Lynn took a lot of pride in the improvements he made to the family home over the years. He enjoyed traveling, watching his grandchildren play sports, and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State teams.
He is survived by his wife, Cleona Jean (Southern) Gundlach; two daughters, Deborah (Doug) Fannin and Jennifer Downing, both of Sandusky; two sons, Terry (Diane) Gundlach, Monroeville, and E. Francis (Brooke) Gundlach, Berlin Heights; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Fannin, Heather Downing, Matthew Gundlach, Tyler Gundlach, Brandon Downing, Rachel Gundlach, and Ashley Gundlach; and his mother, Evalyn (Cronenwett) Gundlach.
Lynn was preceded in death by his father, Wesley F. Gundlach; and brother, Larry W. Gundlach.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. Monday until services at 11 a.m. in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia; Pastor B.R. Hatfield will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park.
