Jacquelyn M. "Jacquie" Meek, 78, of Norwalk, died Thursday evening in her home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Bellevue, daughter of the late Frances and Corrine (Coppus) Gildenmeister. She was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the Chapel of Sandusky and was a former volunteer and past president of Fisher Titus Ladies Auxiliary. She and her husband wintered in the Florida Keys and Fort Myers, Fla. for many years. She was the former co-owner of Meek's Bakery in Norwalk. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, enriching all of their lives.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, William "Bill" Meek of Norwalk; her sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Jean Siesel of Willard, Gregory and Barb Siesel of Castalia, and Scott and Kathy Meek of Norwalk; her daughters and son-in-law, Vicki and Russ Holmes of Huron, and Pam Meek of Norwalk; 15 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Jackie Ann Gildenmeister of Bellevue, Richard Gildenmeister of Cleveland, and Doug and Sue Gildenmeister of Bellevue.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Siesel.
A celebration of her life will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Eagles Aerie 711, 151 Cline St., Norwalk. Walker Funeral Home, Norwalk, is in charge of arrangements.
