LEON H. POLLACK

Leon H. Pollack, 79, of Sandusky, passed away early Monday morning, March 17, 2008, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 21, 1929, in Sandusky and was a 1946 graduate of Sandusky High School. He was a veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Navy. Leon had worked as a driver salesman for 30 years for Sun Beam, Pennington and later for Nickles Bread before retiring. He volunteered for nearly 15 years at Stein Hospice Service and was a member of the American Legion and IAB Club.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rose M. (Haller) Pollack whom he married April 1, 1955; daughter, Cindy Pollack of Sandusky; grandson, Ryan Camella of Columbus; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Helen (Mayer) Pollack; daughter, Debbie Camella in 1984; two brothers, Robert and Owen Pollack.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at David F. Koch Funeral Home, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
