Dorothy "Dotty" Irene Coburn, 79, of Willard, passed away Monday, March 17, 2008, in Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
She was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late George C. and Erma A. (Rothman) Rager, and lived most of her life in Willard. She retired as a secretary from Pioneer Rubber Co. and MAPA Pioneer Corp. in Willard, after 40 years of service. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Willard and Eastern Star. She enjoyed the craft of needlepoint, reading and most of all, her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" R. Coburn, whom she wed Sept. 17, 1947; her son and daughter-in-law, Paul R. and Suzie Coburn of Newburgh, Ind.; daughter and son-in-law, Pauline R. and Donald Saul of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Bill Coburn of Marion, Melissa and Julie Coburn of Newburgh, Scott Edwards of Gainesville, Ga., and Stacey Saul of Orlando; and great-grandson, Colton Jenkins of Newburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George C. and Erma A. (Rothman) Rager, and an infant grandson, Paul Coburn Jr.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Doug Winner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Willard.
