Arleen A. Hagelberger, 70, Castalia, passed away Friday afternoon in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, Sandusky.
She was born Nov. 22, 1937, in Bedford, Ohio. She moved to Castalia in 1962, where she lived her life. Arleen was a beloved wife and homemaker who enjoyed ceramics, flower gardening, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Hagelberger, to whom she would have been married 50 years on June 14, 2008; two daughters, Linda (Ken) Faulkner, Castalia, and Joanne (Doug) Cobb, Fremont; two sons, Bill (Kim) Hagelberger, Milan, and John (Nancy) Hagelberger, Castalia; 11 grandchildren, Jenny (Tim) Coffman, Jill and Kenny Faulkner, Dan (Laura), Lindsay, and Brad Cobb, Evan, Luke and Grace Hagelberger, and Adam and Erin Hagelberger; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Ben Coffman.
Arleen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ann (Kocsardi) Adam.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday in Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St. Castalia. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington St., Castalia; the Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
