Calvin "Mann" Harper Jr., 29, Sandusky, departed this life Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at his residence.
He was born April 14, 1978, in Sandusky, and attended Sandusky City Schools. He was a member of Porter Memorial C.M.E. Church.
Calvin enjoyed life, traveling, playing X-box, football, basketball and listening to music. His family and friends were most dear to him. He believed strongly in God, read his Bible, prayed, and asked God to come into his life at an early age. A compassionate person, he will be missed by many.
He is survived by his son and five daughters, Calvin Harper III, Kory Harper, Sequence Harper, Tmaya Harper, Shatavionna Harper and Raijeon Hunter; mother, Queen Amison; siblings, Kyra Amison, Chanel Harper, and Marques Harper; nephew, Ta'Kye Fenderson; nieces, Ta'Kyra Fenderson and Davionna Johnson; maternal grandmother, Katie Keahey; godfather, Thelma Towner; special cousin, Demetreus Keahey; special friend, Jessica King; former wife, Andrea Hereford, all of Sandusky; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Harper Sr.; grandmother, Bessie Harper; great-grandmother, Christine Harper; grandfathers, Charlie Young, Cornelius Amison Sr. and Samuel Keahey Jr.; and an uncle, Micheal Amison.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Porter Memorial C.M.E. Church, 1722 Third St., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church; Pastor Amariah McIntosh will officiate.
Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
