Betty Rose Everett-Harris, 50, of Sandusky, passed away suddenly March 8, 2008, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 12, 1957, in Sandusky. She was furthering her education at BGSU Firelands Campus. She worked at Erie-Huron C.A.C. as a site-assistant for almost 10 years, and also served as a union steward with AFL-CIO Local 203.
She belonged to, and was very active with, New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Sandusky. She loved to cook for her family, play Scrabble, and enjoyed spending time with her husband, Curtis, and her children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Harris Sr.; son, Darrel (Dawn) Everett of Columbus; twins, Mercy Everett of Sandusky and Marqieth Everett of Sandusky; stepson, Curtis Harris Jr. of Cleveland; grandchildren, Preston Everett and Keiara Greathouse; her mother, Mercy Everett, of Sandusky; sisters, Gloria Everett of Maple Heights, Ohio, and JoAnn Evans of Crosby, Miss.; sister-in-law, Kim Lawrence of Bellevue; nephew, Justin Henderson of Columbia, S.C.; brother-in-law, Avon Harris of Sandusky; and a host of relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Preston Everett Sr.; and brothers, Preston Everett Jr. and Mark Everett.
Friends and family may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday in New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in New Jerusalem Baptist Church; the Reverend Henry will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, following the service.
